Breeder Code List

Pedigrees

Getting a pedigree can be a daunting piece of paper! they differ so much, but usually have the same core attributes. These include;

The Animals Identification Number.
The D.O.B of the animals sold.
The parents, grandparents, and great grand parents identification number (sometimes beyond this too).
Details of the breeder and a declaration of sale and signature strip.

Below shows clearly shows how most (but not all, pls read on for details on different types) Animal Identification Numbers are collated.

Some breeders use a different coding system, they use a letter to identify the year of birth, so they would be EB still for the initials of the breeders prefix, then

A - 1999
B - 2000
C - 2001
D - 2002
E - 2003

So EBD140 would be the 140th baby of 2002.

Ok so when we put together our codes for the animals we then put them into family trees, or pedigrees, as I have said there are many different types, from names to numbers, awards, colours and foreign languages!
